European Commission launches consultation on sustainable finance disclosures

On Thursday 14 September, the European Commission launched a targeted consultation and a public consultation to gather comments on the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). This regulation, which applies from March 2021, sets out how financial intermediaries, such as asset managers, must communicate sustainability information to investors. It is designed to bring greater transparency to the market (see EUROPE B13217A30).
