European Commission to debate issue of Ukrainian cereals on Wednesday 6 September

On Tuesday 5 September, in Cordoba, Spain, the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski, stated that the college of Commissioners would discuss the issue of cereal imports into Europe from Ukraine the following day.

A debate will also be held on Wednesday at the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States to the EU (Coreper) level.

The current restrictions (ban on imports into five EU countries close to Ukraine) expire on 15 September, and EU countries...
