Rate of inflation falls in December in both euro-zone and EU15

Luxembourg, 22/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The annual inflation rate of the euro-zone fell from 2.9% in November to 2.6% in December 2000, reports Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities. In December 1999, inflation was 1.7%. The annual inflation rate in Europe of Fifteen (EU15) fell from 2.6% in November to 2.3% in December (as opposed to 1.7% in December 1999).
