On Thursday 30 November, the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) and 19 of its members lodged a complaint with the network of consumer protection authorities (CPC) against the Meta company.
The organisation believes that the American digital giant is imposing an unfair choice on its users via its ‘Pay or Okay’ system, given that they have recently had to decide whether they prefer to pay to continue accessing services or accept that their data be used for advertising purposes.
