An EU-US summit to reaffirm importance of transatlantic ties

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, are expected in Washington on Friday 20 October to meet US President Joe Biden as part of a bilateral summit between the European Union and the United States, following the one held in June 2021 (see EUROPE B12740A4).
