Martin Hojsík elected European Parliament Vice-President in place of Michal Šimečka

18/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 18 October, MEPs elected Martin Hojsík (Renew Europe, Slovakian) by acclamation as Vice-President of the European Parliament. He replaces Michal Šimečka (Renew Europe, Slovakian), who is now covering a political post in his country. The European Parliament has also appointed a new quaestor, Isabel Wiseler-Lima (EPP, Luxembourgish), to replace Christophe Hansen (EPP, Luxembourgish), who has joined the Chamber of Deputies in Luxembourg.
