Redirecting EU cohesion funds to unforeseen needs could increase regional disparities, warns CoR

The revision of the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2021-2027 and the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) should reinforce the long-term objectives of cohesion policy and respect the ‘do no harm to cohesion’ principle, according to a European Committee of the Regions (CoR) opinion on the revision of the MFF adopted at its plenary session on 10 October.
