EU Council adopts rules of General Fisheries Commission for Mediterranean

20/09/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 18 September, the Council of the European Union adopted without debate the regulation on certain provisions for fishing in the area covered by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) Agreement. This text transposes into EU law a number of fisheries conservation and management measures adopted by the GFCM in 2018 and 2019.
