End of post-Fukushima import controls—no majority in European Parliament committee for requesting greater caution

Members of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) have no objections to the European Commission’s implementing decision to end post-Fukushima controls (radioactivity tests) on foodstuffs imported from the region, as announced at the last EU/Japan summit in July (see EUROPE B13222A10)
