The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, announced on Thursday evening (14 September) that he would be consulting all the participants in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) on the way forward following the announcement by Germany, France and the United Kingdom that they would not be taking steps to lift new sanctions on the day of the JCPoA’s transition, 18 October 2023.
