Piero Cipollone to replace Fabio Panetta on Monetary Institute’s Executive Board

30/08/2023 (Agence Europe) – The President of the Eurogroup, Paschal Donohoe, announced on Wednesday 30 August that Italy’s Piero Cipollone, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy, was the only candidate put forward to replace his compatriot Fabio Panetta on the Executive Board of the European Central Bank (ECB) from 1 November, the date on which Panetta will become Governor of the Bank of Italy, replacing Ignazio Visco.
