Regulation to combat global deforestation caused by EU is in force

29/06/23 (Agence Europe) – At a time when other pieces of legislation in the European ‘Green Deal’ are being challenged, the European Commission pointed out that the pioneering EU regulation aimed at curbing the EU’s contribution to global deforestation came into force on Thursday, 29 June. In accordance with reasonable due diligence throughout the supply chain, only products that companies can prove have not contributed to deforestation or forest degradation anywhere in the world...
