An additional €86 million for EU’s civil protection mechanism and food chain strand of single market programme

On 31 May, the European Commission presented a proposal to transfer €86 million from the Solidarity and Emergency Aid Reserve (‘SEAR’) under the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (‘UCPM’) and the food chain strand of the Single Market programme, as part of the Union’s general budget for 2023.
