European Commission authorises €346 million Polish aid scheme to meet farmers’ liquidity needs

On Monday 5 June, the European Commission announced that it had authorised a new Polish aid scheme of around €346 million designed to facilitate access to liquidity for agricultural producers affected by the consequences of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.

This support will consist of limited amounts of aid in the form of subsidised interest rates on loans. The aid will not exceed €250,000 per beneficiary and will be granted no later than 31 December 2023. The...
