On Monday 4 December, the European transport ministers adopted their positions (‘general approaches’) on two road safety texts: the directive on driving licences and the directive facilitating the cross-border exchange of information on road safety offences (see EUROPE B13305A6). However, Germany, Luxembourg, Slovakia and Malta opposed one or both of these texts (Germany and Slovakia).
