Estonia to tax motor vehicles according to their CO2 emissions

10/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – Mart Võrklaev, the Estonian Finance Minister, announced changes to the national tax on the registration of motor vehicles, based on their CO2 emissions, on Monday 9 October. The Estonian car fleet is one of the highest in Europe in terms of CO2 emissions, and car ownership is on the rise.
