EU Council appoints a prosecutor to EPPO College and completes process of partial replacement

28/09/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 28 September, the Council of the European Union announced the appointment of Miranda de Meijer of the Netherlands as new prosecutor at the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO). Her term of office, which takes effect on 1 November, will last 6 years, with no possibility of renewal. This appointment comes as part of the partial renewal of the EPPO College, in accordance with the transitional rules established for the first term of office...
