Implementation of Italian recovery plan unblocked

28/07/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 28 July, the European Commission released the third instalment of financial aid, totalling €18 billion, for the Italian recovery plan as part of the Next Generation EU European recovery plan. It also approved the Italian authorities’ request to revise the recovery plan to include investment in energy efficiency, sustainable transport, particularly rail transport, and the non-profit sector in the southern regions.
