On Friday 28 July, the European Commission announced that it had authorised a Hungarian aid scheme worth €2.36 billion (around HUF 880 billion) to support companies producing equipment needed for the energy transition.
The aid will reach eligible businesses by 31 December 2025 at the latest in the form of direct grants and/or tax advantages.
The measure will be open to companies producing equipment such as batteries, solar panels, wind turbines, heat pumps, etc.
