Britain’s Jim Skea elected new chairman of IPCC

27/07/23 (Agence Europe) – The UK’s Jim Skea, a professor specialising in renewable energy at Imperial College London, was elected the new chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on Wednesday 26 July, with 90 votes in favour and 69 against the Brazilian candidate Thelma Krug.
