European Commission to include mining and extraction in EU taxonomy

14/07/2023 (Agence Europe) – At the request of several Member States(see EUROPE B13222A36), the European Commission confirmed at the Ecofin Council on Friday 14 July that it would include mining in the EU taxonomy. “We were not able to include it as part of our June proposals for delegated acts (see EUROPE B13217A15), as the sustainable finance group of experts has not evaluated those activities yet”, explained Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission...
