18/12/2014 (Agence Europe) - Commission approves Catalunya Banc's revised restructuring plan. On Wednesday 17 December, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to the sale of Spanish bank Catalunya Banc to BBVA, along with amendments to Catalunya Banc's initial restructuring plan. The Commission feels the sale and amendments will make the bank a going concern while mitigating distortions of competition in the Single Market. (EL)
