The energy, climate and environment ministers of the G7 countries (Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States), meeting in Turin (Italy) until Tuesday 30 April, are reportedly close to reaching an agreement on the closure of their coal-fired power plants.
According to AFP, this target for phasing out coal combustion could be set for the first half of the 2030s.
