Speaking at an event organised by the think-tank Friends of Europe on Thursday 7 December, the EU’s special representative for dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, Miroslav Lajčák, called for the “current momentum” in geopolitics to be used to bring the issue of EU enlargement to the fore.
“Geopolitics has opened doors, but it won’t get us through them. We have to use the fact that these doors are open”, added Mr Lajčák.
