Thierry Breton on a visit to reaffirm European Union's economic interests

09/11/23 (Agence Europe) – Thierry Breton, the European Commissioner for Internal Market, will be in Beijing on Friday 10 November to meet the Chinese Ministers for Industry and Trade and the Chinese Vice-Premier. Unsurprisingly, the purpose of the visit was to reaffirm the EU's new economic strategy of ‘de-risking, without decoupling’, and to defend its industrial and economic interests.
