On Tuesday 24 October, the members of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Health and Food Safety (ENVI) will vote on the proposal for a regulation on packaging and packaging waste (revision of Directive 94/62/EC), which aims to promote the reuse of packaging and prevent packaging waste in the EU by the end of 2022 (see EUROPE B13074A7).
