Latvia submits revised recovery plan including ‘REPowerEU’ chapter

27/09/23 (Agence Europe) – Latvia submitted, on Tuesday 26 September, a revised post-Covid-19 recovery plan that includes a ‘REPowerEU’ chapter designed to accelerate the energy transition and reduce the EU’s dependence on Russian hydrocarbons. With €2 billion in subsidies alone, the plan aims to support community self-generation of energy, the development of biomethane and the modernisation of the electricity grid.
