Energy sector’s contribution to COP28, strategic autonomy and security of supply on agenda of informal Council of Energy ministers

As part of the Informal ‘Environment and Energy’ Council, to be held between 10 and 12 July in Valladolid and chaired by the Spanish Minister for the Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, the European Energy ministers will meet on the second and third days of the meeting, in the presence of the Executive Vice-President for the European Green Deal, Frans Timmermans, and the Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, to discuss current energy issues at European level.
