Inter-institutional negotiations on Generalised Scheme of Preferences will start without a plenary vote on report

19/05/2022 (Agence Europe)The report by Heidi Hautala (Greens/EFA, Finland) to the European Parliament on the revision of the Generalised Scheme of Preferences will not be put to a plenary vote before entering inter-institutional negotiations ('trilogue'). The announcement was made in plenary on 18 May and there was no opposition to the decision. The Committee on International Trade (INTA) adopted Ms Hautala’s report on 4 May (see EUROPE B12944A25).
