The latest EU agri-food trade figures, published on Tuesday 4 January by the European Commission, show that the total value of EU agri-food trade (exports plus imports) for the period January-September 2021 is €239.5 billion , an increase of 6.1% compared to the same period last year.
Exports rose by 8% to reach €145.2 billion while imports increased by 3.5% (€94.2 billion).
