Entry into force of decision on joint investigation teams

Brussels, 21/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - By its publication in the Official Journal (L/162), the Council's framework-decision relating to joint investigation teams took effect on 20 June. This text provides for the relevant authorities of at least two Member states being able to set up joint investigation teams, with a precise goal and for a limited amount of time, to undertake criminal investigations in one or several Member states which set up the teams.
