Ruling in case concerning State aid granted to Spanish firm Santana Motor

Luxembourg, 20/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Court of Justice has annulled the Commission's decision of 17 August 2000 to initiate a formal investigation procedure aimed at examining whether State aid granted by the Junta of Andalucia to the Spanish firm Santana Motor was compatible with European law. A procedural ruling which, with only 200,000 pesetas at stake, alters nothing to the situation in that the Commission had looked favourably upon this aid. This ruling essentially concerns the...
