EUR 55 million in Italian national aid is cleared

Brussels, 20/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission decided to authorise Italian State aid totalling EUR 55.24 million (over the period 2000-2006) in favour of twelve of its regions in order to finance different projects in the fisheries sector. This amount represents Italy's contribution to the aid foreseen under the EU Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance (FIFG).
