Commission approves loan guarantee for Fairchild Dornier

Brussels, 20/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The German aircraft manufacturer, Fairchild Dornier, which is in a state of insolvency, has received the Commission's clearance to benefit from a State guarantee granted by Germany to a bank loan of around EUR 94 million. In April 2002, Germany had notified the Commission of its intention to grant a 50% loan guarantee for three months on a loan put together by a consortium of banks in order to allow the company to survive pending support from a...
