Loan of $50 million in favour of electricity distribution in Brazil

Luxembourg, 04/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) announced on 29 May that it was planning to lend US$50 million (around EUR 54 million) to Companhia Energética do Ceará S.A. (Coelce) to allow it to expand and modernise the Ceará State electricity network, in north-eastern Brazil.
