Luxembourg, 23/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - Advocate General Leger proposes that the Court of Justice declare itself incompetent in a case of banking secrecy in Luxembourg, says a Court press release. Philippe Leger explains that the questions raised by the Belgian judge in an affair of investments in Luxembourg of financial assets belonging to Belgians "are purely hypothetical" and that the Court's role is not to "formulate consultative opinions on general or hypothetical questions".
