Brussels, 25/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the UK and Spain signed an agreement to exclude Gibraltar Airport from the scope of EU air transport legislation. The agreement should enable the Transport Council on Tuesday to take decisions on the two texts that were being held up by the dispute between the UK and Spain over Gibraltar, namely the directive on aeroplane noise in airport (replacing the hushkit regulation) and the regulation on compensating passengers for overbooking.
