Marshall Islands sign Cotonou Agreement, becoming 75th member of ACP Group - Mauritius is first country to ratify agreement

Brussels, 21/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Republic of the Marshall Islands has signed the Cotonou Agreement, thus officially becoming the seventy-fifth member of the ACP States group (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific), linked to the European Union by the development partnership agreement. The signing ceremony took place this week in Brussels, with the pen in the hand of Foreign Minister Alvin Jacklick, accompanied notably by Finance Minister Michael Konelios.
