Commission proposes to Council allowing Greece into euro zone - Despite positive economic results, Sweden still does not meet certain legal convergence criteria

Brussels, 03/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - On the initiative of Pedro Solbes, on Wednesday the European Commission approved its "convergence report" regarding Greece and Sweden (Denmark and the United Kingdom benefit from an opt out, whereas the other eleven Member States are already members of the euro zone).
