Brussels, 29/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission approved the draft decision aimed at stepping-up the monitoring and surveillance of the mad cow disease (BSE) in the Union, through the introduction in 2001, of post-mortem tests to be practiced on a targeted population of cattle in all Member States.
