Fifteen confirm stance on new round of multilateral talks making some more flexible aspects subject to adequate reciprocity

Brussels, 20/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - At the weekend, the informal meetings between EU ministers responsible for foreign trade, after the resounding failure of the Seattle conference, confirmed the Community position on the proposal of the next round of multilateral negotiations. The Fifteen were called on by the European Commission to reaffirm this position while envisaging more flexible elements in order to launch the trade round as soon as possible (see EUROPE of 18 March, p.12) but...
