European Central Bank raises its key rates
Frankfurt, 16/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - As we predicted, on Thursday, the European Central Bank decided to raise:
- is short-term interest rate by 0.25% (from 3.25% to 3.50%). This rise will take effect from 22 March;
- its two other key rates, the ceiling rate at 4.5% and the base rate at 2.50, or also a rise of 0.25%, but, for their part, they take effect Friday 17 March.
