Parliament doubles allocation for environmental dimension in development of LDCs

Strasbourg, 16/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report by Swedish Conservative Anders Wijkman, the European Parliament modified, in the framework of the co-decision procedure, the Council's common position on the regulation promoting the full integration of the environmental dimension in the development process in developing countries. It called for the financial allocation for 2000-2006 to be set at EUR 93 million instead of the EUR 50.4 million foreseen by the Council. Parliament...
