Parliament adopts report on human rights situation in the EU and the world, deleting certain controversial passages - Votes on racism and xenophobia is postponed

Strasbourg, 16/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament adopted on Thursday afternoon, in a vote of 265 to 125 (with 33 abstentions), the report by Danish Liberal Bertel Haarder on human rights in the European Union. The report singles out the practices of several Member States and demands different measures to combat discrimination.
