Ban on certain soft toys and articles in PVC containing phthalates extended by three months

Brussels, 08/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to extend by three months the measure temporarily banning soft toys and articles in PVC intended to be placed in the mouths by children aged three and under (teats, teething objects, etc.) and containing phthalates (cancerous substances intended to soften plastics).
