On Thursday, Council and European Parliament begin conciliation procedure on late payments

Brussels, 08/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council and European Parliament are entering the last furlong leading to the adoption of the directive on late payments in commercial transactions. The differences of views that remain will be the subject of a conciliation procedure, to be launched officially on Thursday.

The aim of the directive, which should see the light of day in the spring, is to generalise the payment of interests by bad payers, who currently lie at the root of one...
