Parliament hopes to strengthen legislation on undertakings for collective investments to improve consumer protection

Strasbourg, 22/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of the report by Swedish Liberal Olle Schmidt, the European Parliament strengthened at first reading (EP/Council codecision procedure) two proposals of directive concerning undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities (UCITS).
