31/07/2026 (Agence Europe) – Two delegated regulations from the European Commission supplementing the regulation on environmental, social and governance (‘ESG’) ratings were published in the Official Journal of the European Union on Thursday 30 July. The first delegated regulation sets out the arrangements relating to the fees charged by the European Securities and Markets Authority (‘ESMA’) to ESG ratings providers. It entered into force on Friday 31 July. The second regulation lays down the rules of procedure applicable to fines and penalty payments that ESMA may impose on ESG ratings providers and will enter into force on Wednesday 19 August.
