EU energy imports fall in second quarter of 2024

25/09/2024 (Agence Europe)In the second quarter of 2024, the EU imported €94.9 billion worth of energy products, down 10.7% on the same quarter in 2023, while net mass fell by 9.7% to 177.9 million tonnes. Oil imports rose by 5.6% in value, but fell slightly in volume (-2.2%). Imports of natural gas fell sharply, by 31.4% in value and 9.5% in volume.
