First market authorisation for plants derived from NGTs in EU

31/07/2024 (Agence Europe) – Corteva (formerly DowDupont/Pioneer) has received two new import approvals for transgenic maize, the Test Biotech organisation announced on Wednesday 31 July. The plants produce insecticides and are resistant to herbicides. The CRISPR/Cas technique was used in one of the maize plants to insert additional genes into the genetic material.
